# Temp Mail Lab API

> Create temporary inboxes and retrieve incoming email with a REST API.

Temp Mail Lab is a receive-only API for product tests, sign-up flows, password resets, and other workflows that need a temporary email address.

## How it works

1. Create an inbox with `POST /v1/emails`.
2. Send email to the returned address from the system you are testing.
3. List the inbox messages and retrieve the one you need.

The inbox receives without an open browser or dashboard session. You can retrieve parsed text and HTML, the original RFC 822 source, and attachments.

## Base URL

```text theme={null}
https://api.tempmaillab.com
```

Every request uses HTTPS, a `/v1` endpoint, and an API key in the `Authorization` header.
